One Car Seat at a Time!
Your precious gift will go towards the purchase of needed car seats or booster seats for infants, toddlers and children in need, so families can travel safely.
No child should die or get injured because they were not protected by a car seat. We want to ensure that every infant, toddler and child has adequate car seat options to keep them safe.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), motor vehicle injuries are a leading cause of death among children in the United States. But many of these deaths can be prevented.
• In the United States, 663 children ages 12 years and younger died as occupants in motor vehicle crashes during 2015, and more than 121,350 were injured in 2014.
• One CDC study found that, in one year, more than 618,000 children ages 0-12 rode in vehicles without the use of a child safety seat or booster seat or a seat belt at least some of the time.
• Of the children ages 12 years and younger who died in a crash in 2015 (for which restraint use was known), 35% were not buckled up.
The Car Seats For Kids Program is sponsored by the dedicated nurses who have joined N.E.E.D. NOW (Nurses Enabling Essential Developments NOW). Each nurse that joins, donates towards the purchase of needed car seats or booster seats for infants, toddlers and children in need.
Thank you for your support and generous gift.
The Cole Link Foundation was pleased to donate child car seats and boosters to the Tataviam Indian Tribe on Saturday, September 16, 2017, in Piru, California.
The Tataviam Indians are native to Southern California in Los Angeles and Ventura County, primarily in the Upper basin of the Santa Clara River. The Tataviam have a rich history in California; even leaving information about themselves chiseled into and painted on rocky overhangs and secreted caves throughout the local mountains. The Cole Link Foundation is honored to partner with them, to help ensure that infants, toddlers and children have adequate car seat options to keep them safe.
The project is spearheaded by Board Member, Montielle Bennett, with the assistance of Business Advisory Member, Rochelle Holoman. We are working hard to make a difference and help save lives … one car seat at a time. Please help us CONTINUE OUR EFFORTS by donating today!
We have been working hard to review proposals and provide grants to deserving causes ...
Each donation is a link in our ChainReactionapproach, designed to not only help children and families in need, but to empower a chain reaction of community involvement and pride. The power of our Chain Reaction program helps to grow initial support into future community projects to encourage nurturing and best of all, make more dreams come true. The children and families thank you.
